What is system integration?

Respuesta

System integration is unifying disparate IT systems (CRM, ERP, 1C, messengers, payment systems) into a single information space through APIs, ETL processes, or middleware. The goal is automatic data exchange without manual transfer. AppStar has been integrating systems since 2013, including an ISO 8583 project for a payment system in Brazil.

4 Integration Methods

  1. API integration — direct connection via REST/GraphQL API (most common)
  2. ETL — Extract-Transform-Load: batch data synchronization on schedule
  3. Middleware/iPaaS — intermediary platforms: n8n, Make, Zapier
  4. RPA — robot works through UI when no API exists (legacy systems)

Typical Scenarios

  • CRM ↔ 1C (syncing counterparties, invoices)
  • Website → CRM (automatic lead capture)
  • WhatsApp/Telegram → CRM (message processing)
  • ERP ↔ Warehouse (inventory management)
  • Payment system ↔ Accounting (ISO 8583)

AppStar Case: ISO 8583

Payment system development using ISO 8583 protocol for a banking project in Brazil. Terminal, processing, and back-office system integration.
